I actually go to CMU now! It was really weird to see the roof of that building in your gallery. I see it every day on my way to class. I don't have any art classes yet, but I definitely plan on spending a lot of time in that building.

I really like what you've put up so far. May I ask what you used for the Xerox transfer? I've only done stuff like that on gessoed canvas before.
:iconpseudosfumato:
It's an awesome building indeed.

For the Xerox transfer you drench a piece of paper with smelly acetate then place it on top of a fresh Xerox and run it through a printing press. If you take Art 150 w/ Johannah you'll learn about it :-p That's where I learned it.

For smaller transfers you can use an acetate marker (like a Prismacolor Marker Blender).

Yeah I remember the gesso'd canvas didn't work so well for everyone in class... That's what I did for the Ink on a Pin piece sections.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of your stuff as you get into more classes too! :-D

Thanks. I've been trying to experiment with charcoal, but I keep going back to pencil for the detail. I just like being able to get in everything. With charcoal I feel like everything needs to be generalized. I'm sure I can learn to be specific and that it's going to take some work, but I'm ready. It definitely beats Calc II. That was my limit. :)

Love the 'betty' picture. Great job.
:iconpseudosfumato:
Thanks. I hope to get a better quality one up soon :) I need a new scanner!
:iconxpaigexmidnightx:
Ah, I see. Well, it's a great taken picture.
